Today I watched a video on NoFilmSchool about a new feature you can download on the newest software update on some of the Lumix cameras. This feature is called "Post Focus" and it allows you to change the focal point on pictures you take after you take them. Changing the focal point on a picture can change the look picture dramatically. This can also help you very much if you are looking at your pictures and realize some of them may be a bit out of focus. The post focus also has a fine tuning feature that greatly improves the quality of your pictures.

Boom Operator

Today I have been doing research about boom operators and their roles in production. Boom operators are the people that hold the boom mics while filming to ensure that they are getting proper sound. A famous boom operator that I found is Don Coufal. Don has worked on many productions including Grown Ups, Mission: Impossible III, Horrible Bosses, and much more. In order to be able to withhold the expectations of a boom operator, you must know a lot about sound, be patient, have excellent listening skills and have the ability to anticipate. I don't think that I would be a good boom operator because I don't have very good patience and holding up a mic does not seem like the best job in the world.
